Venezuela, Russia economic cooperation — Maduro: (aka, you’re messing with my friend!)

Ed Note: This is just a light warning as I read it. Of course Delcy Rodriguez informed Russia on the current military threat from the US. President Putin only referred to Maduro as his friend. We now have China commenting, Iran is comenting and Russia is commenting. Is anyone in the US listening? Russia is saying that they have investment projects in Venezuela, in other words, be careful out there US! Russia has skin in the game.

Venezuela, Russia expand mutually advantageous economic cooperation — Maduro

According to Nicolas Maduro, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed the implementation of joint investment projects in a phone conversation with Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez

CARACAS, August 23. /TASS/. Venezuela and Russia develop mutually advantageous cooperation as they implement joint investment projects, President of the Bolivarian Republic Nicolas Maduro said following a phone conversation between Venezuelan Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez Gomez and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“Today, Executive Vice President [Delcy Rodriguez] had a lengthy and fruitful [phone] talk with our close friend [Russian Foreign Minister] Sergey Lavrov who confirmed the expansion of the economic alliance between our countries and the implementation of joint investment projects,” Maduro said in a speech at the Event for the Defense of Peace and Sovereignty of Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean streamed by Venezolana de Television.

Lavrov extended an official greeting from Russian President Vladimir Putin to “Venezuela and specifically his friend, President Nicolas Maduro,” the Venezuelan leader shared.

I for one can scarcely imagine the American military being prepared to take serious losses in this display of obsolete theater. For any aggression to have any meaningful impact they would surely have to endure serious losses. Nor can I see it making any sense at all for the Empire… Read more »

Snowy, the only thing I can think of is that it’s only for a domestic audience. It will be difficult to make a regime change look like an anti-cartel exercise, and the audience at home would swallow that. But the world will know the truth, and that will have long… Read more »

Psy-ops work in behalf of the attacker and work against the target nation. They are always public. So, Reuters, a tool of Mi6 is perfect to use. Hegseth and Rubio own this project. How they do it or when may not be decided as yet. Trump made it a political… Read more »

History is instructive, and pitiless like Time. A point is always reached where the habitually insolent aggressor loses the initiative. Where victims used to being on the defensive turn the tables and dictate, doing the hunting…  It happened to the Limeys, the French, Swedes, Belgians, Dutch, Germans, Iberians… save for… Read more »

Be careful in analyzing the Trump threat to the Maduro regime. The US, since Rockefeller planted the Standard Oil flag in Lake Maracaibo, has considered Venezuelan oil as US resource. Now add any other natural resources of value. Then, look at the drug cartel operations and the political issue within… Read more »

CIA ran drug operations out of Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Honduras, etc. It doesn’t like competition. What I point to is the ball rolling downhill aimed at the regime in behalf of the interdiction of drugs. We had the same thing in Afghan. Then Biden dropped the… Read more »

You’re right. It’s easy for the practiced to destroy.

Yet times’ achanging.
Revolutions in military affairs/ new determination herald unpleasant surprises.

After generational starvation-siege, as in Gaza and Yemen, with what can one threaten poor people already immiserated & condemned?

Eras of cost-free savagery are at an end

larchmonter445 every observation, your every point on the american position rings absolutely true, & from that pov highly probable, but, the chinese response may not be what it was 5yrs ago. china has declared openly it’s feelings regarding venezuela, this is different. as is china’s prowess: technologies & weapons have… Read more »

China is reputed to have excellent ship destroying wave skimmers that are almost impossible to stop. I hope & surmise that China has already supplied these to Venezuela & that Russia has supplied very effective air defense. If so I hope to see & hear about uSA tin cans being… Read more »

thank you, James1, for your encouraging reply. agreed, china has been busy on all scientific/medical fronts. the research is impossible to keep abreast of in english. perhaps, like mother, china chooses to scatter few crumbs, sufficient to let empire how many times its been lapped?

The era of financial and economic colonization is over. Western arrogance is a disgrace to the world. Unfortunately, words are not enough to protect you from attacks intended to violate sovereignty and impose slavery.
