And here you thought Abu Ghraib and the US Torture Program was bad ..
At the time when the Abu Ghraib and the US torture program, rendition and widespread detentions became common knowledge, it was disappeared too quickly. A similar conversation was picked up about the detention facility in Guantanamo Bay but researchers are alone, lonely and nobody is interested. Later on, something brought this to the fore again, but surprisingly Donald Trump killed it in the common discussion, by saying he thinks waterboarding is not bad, and can be used. This is not an article about that. I mention it to illustrate that the Israelis and the US Americans are equal in their morals in terms of cruelty. It is this type of deliberately designed unbelievable cruelty to other people that a process of multi- or pluripolarity will reduce, as a product of the mental health of the new world and the new process.
Take a look at that again. This cruelty can be overcome as much as possible in the human race in the move to multi- and pluri- polarity and no, not in five minutes: In a long period of education and spiritual growth.
The movement to multipolarity as BRICS and others explain, besides the other planks, contains a strong plank and value of cultural development, and people will learn one from the other and one country from the other.
I have seen discussions on China’s handling of their dissidents, where they put them in school and got them functional with job skills. (No, this was not a walk in the park and school was jail or prison-like harsh and they were most probably mentally recultured!) This is the story of the Uyghurs and other minorities in Xinjiang that led to widespread sanctions on specifically cotton from the region. (I am sure many of those terrorists are incarcerated but equally, many are living lives. In addition, Xinjiang is the crossroads of Belt and Road and the problem was not how China managed its dissidents and terrorists, the problem was that they were successful in dealing with this terrorist infestation. Just because of that, the West could not destabilize.)
The South African election was concerning. Having grown up in Africa south of the Sahara, I am personally knowledgeable of how cheap life is in Africa. I was concerned about widespread violence in the country and those who read the pieces posted here will know that I said each time: My interest is BRICS! It is to my surprise that their center held so far, and that the sense in the country is a smidgeon more positive than negative today. There was no violence. Compare with Mexico, where there was widespread violence. In a sense I am convinced that the BRICS’ interaction with Russia, and the relatively high profile that South African gained with their chairmanship of BRICS in 2023, in a sense ‘rubbed off’, and they handled their unprecedented fall of the ANC in the elections, and their settlement of a GNU (Government of National Unity) with much more grace, seriousness and professionalism than what I expected.
Both South Africa’s election and the subsequent handling of not having a majority, as well as China’s handling of their dissidents in Xinjiang will then act as more than basic thought experiments in my thinking here. They now illustrate in real life what can be done. For example, China did it, now what about, for example, Idlib? Institutional memory over a historical period is alive and well evidently in South African and in China. This is not so in the US and in occupying Israel and whereas I thought in Europe this memory was evident, some mechanism was brought into play to kill that.
It has become clear to me that we have to think in two worlds. It becomes difficult to maintain an equilibrium if one has to think in the old world. Take a look:
Khaled Mahanja is the first lawyer to visit the “Sde Teman” concentration camp (https://t.me/RNN_Prisoners/1165) in the occupied Naqab, where over 1,000 Gazans have been kidnapped, tortured (https://t.me/PalestineResist/44504), and killed. After a short 35 minute long visit, Khaled returned and provided Al-Arabi with the harrowing details.
Khaled stated:
– Over a thousand Palestinians from Gaza are held in “Sde Teman” under dire conditions (https://t.me/PalestineResist/43129), with their hands bound and eyes blindfolded for 24 hours a day.
– The prisoners are split between 4 barracks, with dozens of prisoners in each barracks. The prisoners sleep on the floor without sheets.
– The detainees in “Sde Teman” are subjected to retaliation solely for being from Gaza, and are prevented from practicing their religious rituals. Prayer and takbeer are prohibited.
– Investigations in “Sde Teman” are conducted by special investigation units, not the “israeli” army.
– Palestinian prisoners do not receive fair trials in “israeli” detention centers. They do not have lawyers or rights. The goal is to extend detention and continue kidnapping them without rights.
– The prisoners are prohibited from standing and remain blindfolded even during sleep.
– “Israel” continues to torture the prisoners, holding them responsible for Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7th.
– All prisoners in zionist prisons, whether from the West Bank, Gaza Strip, or occupied Palestinian interior, are abused and tortured, but this is intensified for the prisoners from Gaza.
– The situation witnessed is worse than any expectations.
Khaled mentions that journalist Mohammad Arab has been isolated in “Sde Teman” for over 100 days, with no known end to his detention. He was subjected to harsh interrogations twice, but refused to cooperate with the zionists. He is not allowed to speak to anyone, while he is blindfolded and bound for 24 hours. Khaled’s visit was the first non-soldier that Mohammed has seen in 100 days.
Mohammed’s message to the world: “We are steadfast, me and the rest of the Palestinian prisoners. Our morale is high, reaching the sky. We know that we will be liberated one day. However, we appeal to the whole world: The war on the prisoners are going through is no different in criminality or difficulty than the heinous, terrible, and criminal war on Gaza and what the people of the Gaza Strip are subjected to.”
Mohammed is one of at least four Gazan journalists (https://t.me/PalestineResist/38133)who have been subjected to enforced disappearance by the zionist entity, in an attempt to prevent them from amplifying the voice of truth. These include Mahmoud Aliweh, Haitham Abdel Wahed (https://t.me/PalestineResist/23839), and NewPress founder Nidal Al-Wahidi (https://t.me/PalestineResist/23839).
He discusses cases of sexual assault (https://t.me/PalestineResist/43564) and rape against prisoners. Mohammed told Khaled that 6 prisoners have been sexually assaulted in “Sde Teman” in the last month, in front of all of the prisoners.
Khaled also notes that at least 6 prisoners have ascended to martyrdom in the “Sde Teman” camp as a result of torture. Over 36 Palestinians from Gaza (https://t.me/RNN_Prisoners/1260) have ascended to martyrdom in zionist concentration camps since October 7th, after 4,000 were abducted, with just 1,500 released.
Echoing the call of Mohammed and other prisoners, Khaled asks that that international institutions and the whole world must rally around the prisoners’ cause, in light of the 24/7 blindfolding, shackling, and torture and prevention of any visit to the secret prisons until over 250 days after October 7th.”
Occupying Israel has lost its right to exist in its current form. Your objective to ethnically cleanse the Gaza strip at least, is now open in your media Israel! You may not do that. The world tells you that you may not do that. You may not ethnically cleanse a people. You need to be taken away from the rest of the world because you are a stain, a blot on decency. Sit between your 1967 borders and do your own thing. This is the same that needs to happen for your main enabler. Let them sit between their two borders. Let countries pass laws that US Americans and Israelis may not enter if they are part of the government, part of the military, part of USAID, or part of NED or similar. They may enter as independent people, according to the laws and rules of Human Rights, and for no other reason. It is time to deal with the old world.
From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.
