Discussion: The problem of the pigeon

“Never play chess with a pigeon.
The pigeon just knocks all the pieces over.
Then shits all over the board.
Then struts around like it won.”

It seems as if the majority of the world finds itself with the problem of the pigeon at the moment. The collective west is embracing a policy of creating chaos because they cannot win. Take a look at this short clip, where FM Lavrov explains UN voting.  It is sure that this type of process happened at the recent G20 as well. This is why we see countries voting in a manner that we cannot understand.  One standout example is Brazil, during the last vote to condemn Russia. This is a short clip but it tells the story exactly.

And then we have a new assault on Nicaragua, with new accusations of supposed crimes against humanity, directly aimed at the Nicaraguan president Daniel Ortega and his second. Nicaragua did the unthinkable. Nicaragua’s authoritarian (main stream media using the current occult word for those that they want to destabilize) government freed 222 political prisoners, including top opposition politicians and business leaders, and sent them to the United States. These were the ones that were jailed in the previous and failed attempt at revolution and regime change in Nicaragua in 2018 and courts in Nicaragua found them guilty. The coup in Peru is still ongoing and since December protesters are out in the streets, in some cases being massacred. If we accept Pepe Escobar’s comment that Brazil is now being held hostage, the size of the problem of the pigeon becomes clear at least in this one area of the world. It is widespread though and we can, of course, quote the Taiwan perpetual attempts at destabilization of China as well.

Just a short while ago in August last year, a woman by the name of Michelle Bachelet who served as United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights from 2018 to 2022 went to Xinjiang to investigate supposed Chinese human rights abuses. This woman held the presidency of Chile twice, she was tortured herself during the overthrow of Allende in Chile and the rise of Pinochet, her father was killed and her mother tortured and Bachelet had to go into exile for four years. If you read her resume, it is clear that Bachelet was superbly credentialed for the position of High Commissioner for Human Rights and she probably understood her task on a visceral level. Wikipedia is not too shabby in presenting this resume. She came back from Xinjian and reported there were no human rights abuses and presented the results of her investigation. It was as if oil was poured on fire and she was excoriated in the western climes and press. The results of her investigation were buried and she had to deal with headlines such as this: Michelle Bachelet’s Spectacular Fall From Grace: The legacy of the outgoing U.N. human rights chief has been defined by her dithering and inaction over the Chinese government’s abuses in Xinjiang.”

Approximately two weeks later, she retired. Was she abused and threatened into leaving? That would fit the tactics of first destroying the person in order to destroy the message, and I believe so.

Which ‘grace’ did she fall from? The grace of the hegemon of course.  There are more examples such as the one of Bachelet.

José Bustani is a Brazilian diplomat now retired, who was the first director-general of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons until he was ousted after pressure from the US government in April 2002 over disagreements about how to address Iraq’s alleged weapons of mass destruction. He said he was threatened and his family was threatened. He even fingered the perpetrator. In 2002, he was personally threatened by John Bolton and ousted as OPCW chief after he facilitated inspections that stood in the way of the Bush administration’s drive to invade Iraq. Bolton said: “We Know Where Your Kids Live,” and told him to resign within 24 hours.

Pepe Escobar’s comment in his interview with Crosstalk is of note. He stated that plan A of the hegemon now is a continual process of attempted regime change, overthrow, destabilization, and lawfare to remove governments that they do not like – a process fraught with bribery, threats, and outright removal of people that the hegemon does not like: all of those that they can hang the ‘authoritarian’ label on.

The question and discussion of the day are then topical. What should countries do to remove this hegemonic influence and threat from our world?  We know of the two streams, a new economic order and a move to multipolarity. It is clear that the hegemon refuses to be an adult, and is now acting like a pigeon and is very dangerous in the current circumstance.

What should our countries do: a discussion.

I will leave my thoughts in the comments.

The “pigeon problem” is a great representation of what “rules based international order” actually looks like.

If multipolarity is to have a chance, a new economic order is essential.. in fact anything west-controlled must be overcome, replaced, ostracised or ignored in order for multipolarity to move forward. Its a grouped package – all or nothing. The reason is the West is doubling down into the Abyss.… Read more »
