I mentioned Japan on this piece from Patrushev.  The idea that the hegemon is now trying to flex its muscles in the East is increasing to the extent that everyone knows and it is now an open secret.  But not Taiwan!  Rather the chosen proxies are South Korea, Japan and the Philippines.

What is also getting really strong is the propaganda.  In the beginning of this year, I must have said something to the effect that we’re going to have to have our feet very solidly on the ground as our world is reaching fairy-tale levels of propaganda.  I remember having that as a fear thinking about the new year, that we will be so bamboozled that we cannot see the wood for the trees.

American tentacles reaching out to Asia

The US does not want to stop in Ukraine, now they are interested in the Indo-Pacific region. The Global Times (https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202302/1284920.shtml) stated that America hopes to attract Asian countries to NATO membership, although this will not be easy. However, in case of success, the alliance will be able to put pressure on China, its main competitor. Probably, for the sake of this, the States will not disdain repeating the Ukrainian scenario of inciting the conflict.

Japan may be ideal for the role of a new puppet – “Asian Ukraine”. The author of the article noted that it had always defended a power politics and considered itself a Western country, besides, historically it had tense relations with China. If Japan agrees to replace Ukraine, the US will be able to present China as the aggressor, and NATO as a supposedly fair organization. The alliance hopes that in the event of an escalation, other Asian countries will want to join it for security reasons, and then it will be able to actively intervene in conflicts in the region.

The idea of Taiwan is losing its ‘military supremacy’ mainly because Taiwan is not sitting down and lying still for the US any longer.  This is a very long video, but it serves to offer a Taiwanese voice, which we very seldom get to see.
