A few site notes
It seems as if we will be losing the longstanding Saker Blog from the lineup of fraternal blogs. Larchmonter445 posted a lovely note on Andrei Martyanov:
For Saker’s Vineyard fans:
Amarynth ran the Saker blog and has her own platform now: https://thesakeris.global/. “Global South”
She helped manage Saker’s blog for many years as his assistant, including bringing guest writers, and expanding the Vineyard with Community features and other resonant ideas.
She is still modifying Global South, but it has good content articles and will have a robust forum for commenters shortly (she experiments with features and tries to make things first rate).
She also has her own POV generously stated with her own philosophy and strong knowledge.
I know a lot of her personal history and she has earned the right to be a major new voice.
Give her platform a look-see and watch it develop over the coming month or so.
Saker is leaving a huge hole but Amarynth’s platform will soon fill in some of loss.

There were a few very kind notes as responses to Larch. Please check them out.

For new commentators, our spirit and ethos here are different because we are not registered in or on western climes. We also take a broader look and our remit is not only Russia for example but the process of getting to multipolarity across our world. Moderation is very light, but that is a two-edged sword:
- Please behave as adults. You won’t like it if you cannot do that. A rant is fine, but no insults to anyone here will be tolerated.
- None of us knows how many users will want to migrate. If I sense a problem with chaotic commentators, I’ll bang the light moderation gates shut fast – so for the regulars, if you see a moderation of your posts, give just a little time as I might have closed something because of circumstances.

Awesome Amarynth and very well said Larch!
This is going to be a very important site, especially with its focus on our new global paradigm of multipolarity.
Bring it on
Col
Hear, hear Col. The baton has been handed over to a very knowledgable and able person. We are living in dangerous yet exiting times. The world is changing before our eyes. Here will be a great place to read and hear about the dawn of a new multipolar world order.… Read more »

Hey AHH! So happy to see you!!!
You too Serbian girl. I’ve always very much enjoyed your insights. One way or another The Saker will live on. It was simply far too active and powerful to ever just disappear quietly into the night. BTW ‘m not the only Kiwi commenter here either… it’s great to see Snow… Read more »

This is a sorely needed resource. I learned from some of the posts on Saker, was much less impressed with others. But there was no question in my mind that we need to hear other perspectives. A literally insane fascist empire is pushing us all toward nuclear war, in order… Read more »
Thank you so much for this blog, Amarynth. So glad to be here with you as we mourn the ending of Andrei’s blog.
Welcome Serbian girl! So good to see you!
Could the Movable Feast Cafe be recreated here.
It would be most helpful.
Hi Sudhi, take a look at forums, now on the menu. I have three starter forums in there. Its a huge big commenting environment for everything. “Soon we will have a forum for all the unstructured discussions. Update: From the main menu, there is now a selection for Forums. I… Read more »
Hey Amarynth. I was wondering where you’d gotten to. I will be picking up my swag and joining you here in due course now that the winds of change will finally take our beloved Cafe. Andrei needs a break, understood. Best wishes to all, old friends and new! D.
You are very welcome Dimitar!
Beloved Dimitar! I shouted in happiness when I saw Serbian girl and you back to back. We mourn the ending of our old home. But all eventually ends on this sad plane, no? I knew he’d pull the plug when he mentioned it last Spring, so had time to come… Read more »
Is it me or is it you
I don’t know
My eyes just always
Look for you
Is it with you too
With you all the way
I found a way for us two
Tell us if it is true
It’s great that you took the initiative to keep the spirit of The Saker alive. It was sad news that The Saker was going to be closed, but its understandable that Andrei’s personal safety is more important since he’s living among some worst nutcases on the planet. Wish you all… Read more »
