Site Bits and Pieces

So, two new records in December.  The one was on the 27th, and the stats say we had 8,359 guests and this does not include scrapers and bots and so on – these are readers.  I get confirmation of that in my email, as I get a lot of emails lol!

I posted the first article to this site early August.  The number of comments so far – 1,160 items.

No promotion has been done whatsoever so far.

There was the opportunity to test the support functions of the three main sets of software that we use here, and I’m confident that the server and software techs are not only willing to help, they are GOOD at what they do.  So, I feel that we are technically solid, but the work never ends.

Next on the technical agenda:

  • fix a few things that I messed up with the color changes – Oh boy, this will be done if the world just wants to stand still for a moment or two (grins)
  • implement avatars for commentators – in active test.  There are two ways to go.  Integrate with big avatar houses and this is easy, but it also leaves footprints back to commentators, or roll our own which is a maintenance load for future.  I think flipping a coin is the solution here.
  • improve the search function materially and include a search of comments – this is being assessed and various plugins are being looked at.
  • get the swag up and running

So, that is where we stand, and thanks to everyone for your kindness and friendliness.

For the new year, gird your loins and Let’s Give ’em Hell!  All of Western hegemony is on the line. The West has never been this desperate and thus never this dangerous… People often express that they must ‘take their country back’.  We must take back the whole world!

The most important event of the year not counting the start of the SMO in my assessment, was the Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping online meet just a few days ago.  The results of this will roll out over time and it is good to see that Pepe has come to the same conclusion:  “This was THE zoom of 2022 – repercussions to be cascading throughout 2023”.

With my best wishes for a productive, profitable, healthy and most of all, a happy new year to everyone.

Amarynth, there are many important blogs covering different aspects of this Great Clash of Civilizations, it is early days but I think I see the Big Picture clearest through your eyes. You seem best at representing the consequences for the eight billion brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters who… Read more »

Such awesome progress Amarynth, especially as we roll into 2023.

My intuition tells me this will turn out to be the defining year, perhaps even existentially, in the entire evolution of our species.

Happy new year to one and all

I Always found your commentary excellent, Amarynth, and I find this site indispensable in my daily feeds. A sincere “Thank You!” to… Read more »

Very nice to see your site growing, Amarynth. The technical progress and improvements are clearly showing. As you add more features, a suggestion: On the site that I manage, my IT buddy added a “Translate” feature, so anyone anywhere in the world, with just a click, can read it in… Read more »

By the day, this blog by Amarynth is getting more informative and interesting than Saker’s.
The blog only requires commentators like Dimitar, Mr P, Uncle Bob, and others in order to reach greater heights.

I appreciate the esthetics of the site. Beauty matters. Font and color are tools of excellence. You wield them well. The content is of the highest quality.

2023 should be a very involving year. You are well-positioned to lead the way.
