Daily Chronicles
The Daily Chronicles are snippets of the most important news across the world for this and each day as it rolls in. Kindly also use it as an open thread.
There is some superb commentary in the previous chronicles, so for all our readers, as one Chronicle follows the other and there is overlap, it is worthwhile taking in the commentary.
It is wall to wall fútbal out there. When my technical Twitter feeds are taken over with fútbal, it is time to take an easy day. Yesterday was a major day. The US Dollar is now extremely toxic, and seen as such by the world.
Two interesting tidbits – Lula da Silva says: “Today I received with satisfaction a letter from President Xi Jinping, reinforcing his congratulations on the election result, the friendship and global strategic partnership between our countries, and the long-term vision of relations between Brazil and China.”
And also from Brazil: The Brazilian Senate Approves Lula Da Silva’s Social Plan. He is off to a good start, having appointed his first five senior ministers.
We will have the B back in Brics.
Some news from South Africa: The current president is being pushed to resign or get out or something. I am not keeping up to date with the details. But, I am told that the current president basically ignores all BRICS issues inside of the country, and that he is clearly now a western stooge.
Earlier on I spoke about gossip that we get from the massive Saudi / Xi Jinping meets. There are actually three summits going on. Besides the major Saudi/China with Xi Jinping summit, there is a China-Gulf summit and a China-Arab summit, which will also be held with leaders from Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Arab states expected to attend.
So, this is what I was waiting for. It is just a small note: Ditching the Dollar? Chinese President: Concerted effort with Gulf nations to create payment system in local currencies – Al Arabiya. I do not find that specific quote from Al Arabiya, but the quote is reported by RT India. It is there for sure.
UPDATE: It’s done and dusted. For Christmas we get a dead dollar. New Big Business in this world will be done in the Yuan / Renminbi
China to use Shanghai exchange for yuan energy deals with Gulf nations – Xi
Here is press on the joint communique: https://english.alarabiya.net/News/saudi-arabia/2022/12/09/Saudi-Arabia-China-release-joint-statement-after-Xi-Jinping-s-visit-to-Riyadh

Putin on Economic Outlook for Russia
At the Eurasian Economic Council Summit in Kyrgyzstan, the Russian President has been speaking about the latest trends:
📍Russia continues efforts to reduce inflation
📍Confident of reducing budget deficit from 2% this year to 0.7% in 2025
📍Decline in GDP this year 2.9%, 0.9% forecast next year – situation will continue to improve
📍Gas prices ten-times higher in Europe compared to Eurasian Council region
📍Informal meeting on New Year’s Eve between former Soviet nation leaders in St. Petersburg
Take a look at the last statement. It is of tremendous importance as another step is being taken in building our world yet again.
In addition, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states have signed agreements to implement financial industrial cooperation equivalent to $270bn – here is the kicker – in non-dollar terms.
The exchange with the US – Brittney Griner for Viktor Bout
RT EXCLUSIVE – Viktor Bout: “West Believes it Didn’t Finish Us Off in 1990”
Bout spoke to RT’s Maria Butina in his first interview after being released from American prison.
Emotions: “We still need to find words to describe it all. You probably understand me. After 14 years… And in the language environment, it’s even difficult to find the right words to describe all this.”
Attitude towards him in prison: “Since it is located in such a traditionally “red belt” of America… I have not met with such Russophobia. Basically, almost all of my fellow prisoners were set up with some kind of sympathy for Russia.”
Attitude of the West to Russia: “The West believes that they did not finish us off in 1990, when the Soviet Union began to disintegrate. And what we’re trying to do now… live… and not to depend on anyone, to be a truly independent power… of course, this is shocking news for them.”
I’ve seen in the US patriot-type sources (and old warmaker with a broom on his top lip – John Bolton) great unhappiness about this prisoner exchange. The commentary is that it is close to ‘surrendering’ to Russia, and everyone wanted Paul Whelan released (a retired US Marine convicted of espionage). Russia now has a strong voice and a strong negotiating position. It’s time for these groupings to understand that – Russia will be a truly independent power. The time of manifest destiny is over. You are going to have to negotiate as equal, and not as controlling partners.
The gossip from the China/Arab summit is that the new agreements are to be in Yuan (Renminbi), for oil at least.
Apologists will make excuses for these coups. They always do
Sure, not every coup is as simple as a blatant Pinochet-style military coup
But these are a new kind of coups, using hybrid war, lawfare, 4th Generation Warfare
Don’t let disingenuous appeals to “nuance” distract you

Operation Condor is not a conspiracy theory.
http://www.cels.org.ar/especiales/plancondor/en/#una-asociacion-ilicita-para-reprimir-opositores
Operation Condor is (was … and is now re-implemented by the looks of things) a criminal conspiracy to forcibly disappear people across international borders. Operation Condor coordinated repression among the countries of the Southern Cone. There were court hearings in Rome and in Buenos Aires. Eventually one of these ruled that Operation Condor was a criminal conspiracy and the Operation’s scope was proven in its full magnitude.
Only the methods by which to disappear people have changed. Now we create new leaders out of thin air and remove others via lawfare. Why now you may ask. Simple, they could not get to Lula. I’ll add the comments of other Latin American leaders who know this methodology and protect themselves against it daily, in a formal post.

US Plans 2 More Years of Ukraine Conflict – FM Spox Zakharova
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova claims that based on documents for the supply of weapons, the United States plans to maintain hostilities in Ukraine at least until the end of 2025.
Who will ever sign an agreement with these criminals again?
Merkel’s confession about Minsk Agreements a solid bid for a tribunal — diplomat
https://tass.com/politics/1547779
MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. The confession made by German ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel’s in her interview for Die Zeit that the Minsk Agreements were signed in order to buy time for Ukraine to prepare for a military standoff with Russia could be used for an investigation in a tribunal, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday.
“A lot is being said today about the legal assessment of the situation around Ukraine, about some tribunals and all kinds of that thing,” she noted. “This, however, is a solid bid for a tribunal. The things that Merkel said in her interview – this is a testimony of a person, who stated it directly that everything that was done in 2014 and 2015 had only one goal: to divert the global community’s attention from the real problems, to buy some time, to pump the Kiev regime with weapons and to lead the situation to a large-scale conflict.”
According to Zakharova, the ex-Chancellor’s confession “says the horrible: fraud as modus operandi of the West – machinations, manipulations, all kinds of distortion of truth, law and justice imaginable.”
“They [Western representatives – TASS] knew it back then, in 2015, already, when they held hours-long talks, they knew that they would never implement it, that they would pump the Kiev regime with weapons,” the diplomat underscored. “They had no mercy for anyone: women, children, civilians of Donbass and Ukraine in general. They needed conflict, and they were ready for it back then already, back in 2015.”
Merkel’s confession
Speaking in her interview for Die Zeit, published on December 7, Merkel said the following:
“The 2014 Minsk Agreement was an attempt to buy time for Ukraine. Ukraine used this time to become stronger, as you can see today. Ukraine in 2014-2015 and Ukraine today are not the same.”
According to the ex-Chancellor, “it was clear for everyone” that the conflict was suspended and the problem was not resolved, “but it was exactly what gave Ukraine the priceless time.”
She doubted that, back then, NATO member states could provide aid to Kiev in the same volumes that they do now.

A quick note for Col .. from the previous Chronicles. No harm intended .. I just want to follow that up a little and did not know whether I was chasing a German or a Russian haaa ….
Of course, I knew there was absolutely no harm intended Amarynth. Leibnitz is an absolutely fascinating and brilliant visionary to study. Huh..Plan Condor. Just as in the movie, Three Days of the Condor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Days_of_the_Condor (1975 or 1976) I wonder who or what inspired the screenwriter to write the script.
