Century of Humiliation – Carl Za
Carl is an excellent historian on Chinese History and how it fits into the global sphere. He is interviewed here by Brian Berletic, who was wise enough to let Carl Za speak. This is classical history that even a teenager (I hate history type) would be interested in. It is not your boring history lesson.

The image represents the US becoming a new member of the imperial club after defeating Spain a year before, Having “acquired” the Philippines from Spain, China “happened” to be right across the sea.
As I was going through the search engine looking for more images related to the “partition of China, I found this image, also from Puck, but dated September 1, 1901 It seems the “Yellow Peril” never died down.
