There is a lot of talk about Krasny Liman. The Russian MoD made this statement this morning:

Oct. 1 – This is important.  This war, using Ukrainian hands but more and more collective west hands, is taking a trajectory that I don’t want to speak out.  But we have to.  The US, and do remember NATO is US hands, are jonesing for a repeat of the 2nd WW, excepting now with Germany on its side.  Yes, I know people say it is impossible because of Russia’s weapons.  Nevertheless, the beat goes on!

The Pentagon is creating a Ukraine Command in Germany:  The Pentagon is working to create a new military command devoted to arming and training Ukrainian soldiers in Wiesbaden, Germany, US officials have told multiple media outlets, suggesting the effort will effectively “overhaul” the current process for weapons transfers to Kiev.

Peskov on the possibility of negotiations with Zelensky: Kiev has left the negotiation track, Moscow’s demands do not change, the SMO will continue.  Moscow will regard possible Ukrainian strikes on territories that will become part of the Russian Federation as an act of aggression against Russia.The playbook is similar to Afghanistan, and Iraq.  Nothing that Russia or even China did over the past period could get the world outside of another Perpetual War Scenario.  We are at a dangerous apex and at a point of no return.  President Putin at his speech to CIS countries detailed the situation.

Pursuing their goals, our geopolitical adversaries, our opponents, as we said recently, are ready to expose anyone, everyone, any country to a blow, turning it into a ground zero of a crisis, instigating “colour revolutions” and unleashing bloody massacres. We have seen this many times before.

We also know that the West is devising scenarios for inciting new conflicts in the CIS. But we already have enough of them. Just look at what is happening between Russia and Ukraine, what is happening on the borders of other CIS countries. Indeed, all of this is the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet Union; this much is understandable. But the risks of destabilisation are growing again, including the risks of destabilisation in the entire Asia-Pacific region.

The Front Line comments.  Positional battles take place continually and sometimes fiercely but generally, besides the Ukies trying to break through in various places, the line is neither advancing nor retreating.  The Russian MoD, like clockwork every day reports: “The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.”

Refugee columns are being shelled:  The Armed Forces of Ukraine have just shelled a refugee column in Zaporozhye, and Bloomberg and the rest have already released articles that it was Russia who killed people.
